the house hunters return with the kill...

So today I came to the astonishing realization that I am, in fact, buying a house. So far with all the craziness that has gone on with it and the loan unhappiness I had mananged to convince myself that it wasn't going to happen, things were too crazy and we perhaps needed another year. I guess going out to the build site and picking out all the stuff and the nonsense and the talking to banks and getting ready to pack didn't seem to make it all hit home until I heard about the money Jeff's momma is going to GIVE us to do said home buying. Like we weren't expecting as much and then she was all like "Here! Have money!" It was odd and yet nice at the same time, helped ease a lot of the home buy stress. See, I thought this endevour would be the coolest thing ever... right? Wrong wrong wrong. All I have had to do is sit and make our loan offers go bad because I have bad credit or because I make too much and put us over the limit for all the neato loans. So we took my name off the deed (*"I promise we'll put it back honey, once we get married..."*) and changed lenders and with any luck we can get back down to the percentage rate we had before my name was mentioned.

It's a long ardous intensely invasive process. I don't want to do it again.

Well, not for a few years.

Did I mention we are buying a house?

In other Dog news, I have to find a way to get in touch with the ex, so that I can find out about our old bank account. I am borrowing money to pay it off so that I can buy a house with a little more freedom. Home owners need things like credit and bank accounts. And I can not achieve this with a debt to an old bank account. SO if you know how to get a hold of him, let me know. Or let him know to call me... I will take care of it.

We also got ANOTHER kitten. This one is about 2 months old and really tiny and a little tuxedo kitten. His name is Stuart. I like to call him "Disco Stu". I don't think he knows his name yet. The dog and Bubby (both mine) are really jealous of him, and I don't even really know why! Stuart is all about some Jeff and thinks I am just the chick who lives with his daddy! He is a cutie though. I am just enjoying having my dog, and I can not wait to have a house so that I can enjoy him even more. He has got to hate living in this apartment, but he does a good job, I think he knows we won't be here for very long.

Well loveys, it is bed time. I am going to cheat and put this on my LJ so that the people who read me there can find out what's up...
