So yeah, had a pretty damned good weekend! We really didn’t do much at all. Sat around and watched Oz and The Simpsons and ate good food and went shopping and made love and were the biggest bunch of bums you ever saw. I like weekends like that. There’s something about just being able to hang out with the same person for close to 72 hours and still feel more in love with them Sunday night than when you got home from work Friday. I think it can be hard to find people you can do that with. I can think of very few people that had that type of friendship with me, but they are the people who are closest to me. They read this diary, that’s for sure. People always think they have these complications… things about them that no one else in the world could ever possibly understand, but in reality I think most people are pretty easy to figure out. You just have to be aware and trust your intuition. Most of the mistakes that are caused are usually because you have no idea how to respond to other’s actions. It’s no one’s fault of course, but something just goes wrong and here you are stuck with this person for god knows how much longer simply trying to make up for one misconception. We take ourselves too seriously. I do and it is something I know I need to work on. I am a person but that doesn’t make me any more special than anyone else.
I really don’t like the grammar auto correct thing on my computer, I have better grammar than my computer, and it simply won’t admit it.
Oh speaking of grammar, I took one of those online IQ tests today and it went to 147 from my former 120. Which I think only proves that drugs make you stupid. I have to get Jeff to try it.
One of the guys I work with has no teeth. Now, having no teeth is ok, unless you are in a public situation and always trying to chew something while you are going about your daily dealings. He always comes up to my desk to BS and has something like a mint or another hard candy and he is suckling on it and his jaw lifts and lowers and it looks like you could pull his lower lip up and over his eyes if you needed too and I am not exaggerating. Absolutely fantastically weird. Twilight Zone and shit. Plus I think he dyes his hair. The guy has got to be close to sixty and he still has golden blonde hair like some Roman gladiator, not a streak of gray, unless you see his eyebrows or his 5 o clock shadow. It is really weird. But I like him, he is nice, just rubbery. Wacky…
Ok I am going to get my butt back to work. More random observations later.
